FIRST SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDATES FORUM TONIGHT, WITH A TWIST

The first school board candidates forum is set for tonight at The Baird in South Orange, sponsored by the South Orange-Maplewood Cares About Schools Facebook group.

It has two interesting twists.

First, the moderators will include Maplewood Mayor Vic Deluca and South Orange Village President Sheena Collum.

Next, none of the candidates will get the questions in advance, which have been sent in by residents.

Those running are incumbents Johanna Wright and Stephanie Lawson-Muhammad and challengers Susie Adamson, James Davis and Tony Mazzocchi. Incumbent Beth Daugherty has chosen not to run for re-election.

The event will be at The Baird, 5 Mead St., South Orange, at 7 p.m.
