TC TO HONOR TOWN HALL HISTORIC DESIGNATION, RACE COALITION AND ANTI-BULLYING EFFORTS TONIGHT

Among the events at tonight's Township Committee meeting will be the unveiling of a plaque to dedicate Town Hall as a historic landmark.

The municipal building, which dates back to 1930, was entered in the National Register of Historic Places back in 2014 and received the same honor from the Maplewood Historic Preservation Commission in 2009.

All that's missing is the plaque, which will be placed tonight.

The TC also plans to honor the Community Coalition on Race for its 20th Anniversary, as well as proclaim this Bullying Awareness Month.

In other business, the governing body will approve some more stop signs, as well as give final approval to a Jitney fare hike and allow residents to weigh in on the pilot summer leaf blower ban.
