SPECIAL SCHOOL BOARD MEETING MONDAY ON SUPERINTENDENT EVALUATION/CONTRACT

The Board of Education has called a special meeting for Monday, April 3, to discuss its evaluation and contract for Superintendent John Ramos.

See the limited agenda HERE.

It's unclear why this annual review meeting was not noticed or scheduled earlier since it is an annual event. Ramos is in the second year of a five-year contract that pays a base salary of $177,000, but with bonuses based on such annual reviews. He received a $23,000 bonus last year.

The meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. at Montrose School, 356 Clark St. in South Orange.

It will be held mostly in closed session, but there will be a public comment portion if residents wish to comment on Ramos' work and contract.
